The Master in Accounting at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is a one-year full-time official program designed to provide high quality graduate education in areas such as financial reporting, management accounting, and auditing at the national and international level. The master is taught entirely in English by highly recognized academics and industry experts, and it is aimed at recent graduates and junior professionals who wish to acquire an updated, applied and professional perspective of Accounting and develop their professional or academic career in this area.

As a newly-launched high-quality program, the Master in Accounting has set up academic partnerships with ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). The program covers contents consistent with the Strategic Professional exams of the ACCA qualification. The programme is also in process of acquiring the partnership with ICAC (Instituto de Contabilidad y Auditoría de Cuentas). Students can tailor the program´s curriculum according to their career plans by choosing their preferred elective courses.

The Master in Accounting is taught at the University´s Graduate School, located in Madrid city center´s Puerta de Toledo campus. The relative small, yet extremely diverse, group of students in the master, offers an environment that stimulates rigorous, multicultural learning and encourages independent thinking and critical analysis o


Admission will be decided by the Master’s Academic Committee. The desired profile is the following:

Spanish or foreign students who certify meeting the legal access requirements set forth by art. 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, with a degree in Finance and Accounting, Economics, Business Administration (quantitative profile), or in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics and Engineering, and who desire to develop their career in the accounting or auditing profession. However, graduates from other disciplines who have a quantitative profile considered appropriate may also apply. The latter will be analysed on a case-by-case basis.

If necessary, the Academic Committee will establish additional educational courses to be taken in order to access the Master’s and based on the students’ profiles.
